The results show that the gender, age group, tenure, five hand dimensions and nine body measurements in standing position significantly affects the HGS. The HGS of both hands were used in developing regression models for Anthropometric Measurements and Demographic Profile.

Nine hand dimensions and thirteen body measurements in standing position with the HGS considering both genders were tested among sixty participants. This study aims to assess the relationship between the Anthropometric and Handgrip Strength of the manufacturing workers that can be used both the industrial sector and government implementing agencies.
#Rivet guns manual
Most of the manufacturing companies have a manual or semi-automatic product processing unit thus, it will require an ample amount of dexterity that constitutes to the exertion of grip force. In industrial applications, it is essential to know and estimate the Handgrip Strength (HGS) of workers to accordingly designate them to appropriate job specifications. Similarly, these results would help the user industries to take necessary precautionary measures so as to reduce the risk of injury to the employees. Relevance to industryThe results of this study would assist the manufacturers producing the rivet guns to devise methods of reducing the vibration at the production stage itself. Results of detailed analysis and the ergonomic ramifications as well as practical applications of this finding are discussed in the body of the paper.
#Rivet guns iso
Comparing with the ISO standard, type 4 rivet guns could be used for less than 30 min in a day. The results of analysis indicated that the level of vibration entering the hand was significantly higher for type 4 and large size than for other types and sizes. Vibration data were collected from five male and five female subjects using 12 rivet guns (from four different manufacturers depicted here as types 1, 2, 3, and 4 with large, medium, and small sizes in each type) at three different postures (neutral, maximum flexion, and maximum ulnar deviation) and two different levels of applied force (8 and 12 lbs). The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of rivet guns on hand-arm vibration.
